Nexus 7

Welcome to the Nexus 7 hub page, here we round up all the key links and info in one place. This is the only page you’ll ever need to know about (possibly).

Overview
The ASUS manufactured Nexus 7 tablet was released in July 2012 by Internet giant Google. With Apple dominating the tablet market it was clear that Google needed to do something to ensure Android stood a chance in the market place.

The original models were quickly followed by a 32gb and 3G mobile enabled version.

Where to Buy Nexus 7 UK?
So, you’re keen to buy one of these tablets, and why wouldn’t you be?

The Nexus 7 is available in two sizes, 16gb and 32gb which retail and around £159 and £199 respectively. The 32gb model is also available with a SIM card slot for access to the mobile networks.

The prices are fairly consistent across shops, so we suggest finding a store with free delivery, such as  Currys.

Reviews
The Nexus 7 Tablet received favourable reviews around the net, which is one reason I bought one! Here are a few to give you a feel for the critical reception:

  • Techcrunch:  If you’re looking for a 7-inch tablet or any tablet of the Android variety, you’d be hard pressed to find anything better than the Nexus 7.
  • Techradar:  Like many recent Asus tablet products, the build quality is on par with Apple.
  • Pocket-lint: The impressive thing about the Nexus 7 is the quality of the device you get from Asus, at the price you’re being asked to pay.
