Nexus 7 (2013) Now Available at Amazon.co.uk

n72-4603The second generation 7″ Google tablet, the Nexus 7 (2013) is now available for pre-order over at Amazon.co.uk

As expected, the release date is listed as August 28th.

This is good news for those of us who had disappointing experiences with the Google Play store last time round. I myself pre-ordered direct from Google when buying the Nexus 7 (2012) and was not happy to see people who had ordered elsewhere taking delivery of their shiny new tablet weeks before me.

Amazon.co.uk

Amazon have become the dominant online retailer for good reason, you know you’ll get it on time and their customer service routines are well rehearsed.

But this is also interesting because the Nexus 7 is the main competitor for the Android powered Amazon Kindle Fire. It was easy to see why Amazon neglected to stock the Google rival last time round, but it looks like they’ve changed their minds.

If you want to be one of the first UK owners of the new Nexus 7, click through now to pre-order. (In the US? Also available at Amazon.com.)

  1. This is now also available for pre-oredr from Tesco Direct. As well as free delivery they are currently running a promotion that gives you £20 off any tablet over £150. The 32gb is available therefore at £219 inc delivery. The only drawback that I can see is that the expected delivery date comes up as 3rd Sept.

    • Thanks very much for posting that. Here’s a link to Tesco Direct for those interested.

      The offer is:
      TDX-MJGQ – Save £20 when you spend £150 at Tesco direct – EXP 26/08/13

      I’ve already pre-ordered mine unfortunately.

    • Char says :can we buy in the Uk nexus 7 2 64gb?
I would appreciate some help on this. Thanks

      • Hi, there is no 64gb version and I have not heard any plans for one either. To be honest my 16gb version is fine and I think the 32gb version will be plenty unless you plan on storing all of your media on there! Everything seems to be moving in a cloud based direction these days so personally I stream everything these days… 16gb is fine. But YMMV :)

      • Hi Jez, Many thanks for your quick reply.I appreciate your help.I think 32gb will be enough. The review said 64 as well, but no problem.bye for now
